In the Kochkor District, a suspect in the murder in Bishkek has been detained

On January 14, 2026, in Bishkek, in the territory of the Lenin district, the body of a man with signs of violent death was found in a new building. The report of the incident was received by the Internal Affairs Department through the "102" service.

The investigative-operational group immediately arrived at the scene, where they confirmed the information about the discovery. The body of the man, approximately 35-40 years old, was found without signs of life. Later, the identity of the deceased was established — he was A. R., born in 1976.

Based on this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 122 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the investigative actions, thanks to the video surveillance of the "Safe City," police officers were able to detain the suspect — B. u. K., born in 1996, in the Kochkor district, where checkpoints were established. He was taken to the Investigative Service and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Internal Affairs Department.

Preliminary data indicates that a conflict between the suspect and the victim arose during the consumption of alcoholic beverages, and escalating into a fight, led to tragedy: the suspect inflicted serious bodily harm, as a result of which the victim died.

The investigation is ongoing, necessary forensic examinations have been appointed, and all circumstances of the incident are being established.
