In Kyrgyzstan, state services may increase in price by about 10 percent.

The government of Kyrgyzstan is considering the possibility of increasing prices for state and municipal services by approximately 10 percent. The corresponding draft law has already been discussed in its first reading by the committee on constitutional legislation of the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to the information from the justification note, a significant portion of state services is currently provided to citizens free of charge within the framework of budget financing. However, the resources of both the republican and local budgets do not allow for covering all necessary categories of recipients.
Under the proposed amendments, services that fall within a certain quota will remain free. However, those who seek services beyond the established quota or do not fall into the preferential categories will be required to pay for them. It is also proposed to transfer the execution of these services to private individuals and companies, either partially or fully.

Choro Seitov, Deputy Minister of Economy, clarified that, for example, certain legal services provided by state bodies could be performed by private notaries, while transportation services could be handled by non-state companies. Quality control of the services provided will be carried out by authorized state bodies, and subordinate legislation will be established to define the list of services and requirements for service providers.
The Deputy Minister added that it is expected that tariffs for state and municipal services may rise by about 10 percent.
Deputies expressed concerns regarding possible contradictions in the draft law, which they promised to address before the second reading.
