As part of the program for the artificial reproduction of biological resources for 2025–2026, the State Enterprise "Son-Kul Fishery" has stocked the lake by releasing 4 million 200 thousand fry of the Baikal grayling. Each fry weighs about 0.30 grams. These activities were conducted under the supervision of the Department of the Fishery Industry Complex.
The stocking event took place in the presence of a special commission, which included representatives of relevant authorities, the management of the Karatalsky-Zhapyrik Nature Reserve, and local television journalists. Participants emphasized the importance of adhering to technological standards to ensure a high survival rate of the released juveniles in the natural environment.
This initiative aims to restore the population of valuable fish species, as well as to maintain biological balance and sustainable development of the fishery sector in the region. Regular stocking of Lake Son-Kul contributes to the preservation of the unique ecosystem and creates a foundation for the rational use of natural resources in the future.
