In 2026, a pilot project is planned to be launched in Bishkek and the Chui region, aimed at developing a meat cluster based on the industrial fattening of cattle. This was announced by Erlis Akunbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Government and Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources.

The project is focused on creating an integrated production and logistics chain that covers all stages—from fattening to the sale of products. Farmers and agribusinesses involved in this cluster will be able to obtain preferential loans with favorable interest rates.

The total funding will amount to 1.5 billion soms, and loans will be provided through state financial institutions, as specified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources. This project is seen as an important step towards stabilizing prices in the food market.
