Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, discussed issues related to food prices in the country, specifically the Cabinet of Ministers' decision on stabilizing meat prices.

As part of increasing meat production and controlling its prices, a project will be launched in Bishkek and the Chui region to develop a meat cluster based on the industrial fattening of cattle.

According to this plan, state support will be provided to participants in the meat cluster through the provision of preferential loans throughout 2026.

Farmers and agribusinesses participating in the cattle fattening project in the Chui region and Bishkek will have access to credit funds with low interest rates. Financing will be carried out through state banks - OJSC "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank".

It is worth mentioning that to slow down the rise in food prices, ensure the availability of goods for socially vulnerable groups, support domestic producers, and stabilize the internal market, food fairs are held across the republic on weekends.

Erlist Akunbekov's statement: In order to stabilize meat prices, state support in the form of preferential loans was first reported by K-News.
