In 2026, the cost of 1 kW will be 3 soms and 3 tyiyns
Starting from May 1, 2026, new electricity tariffs will come into effect in Kyrgyzstan, which, according to Timur Orozaliyev, director of the department for regulation of the fuel and energy complex, will cover only 45% of the actual cost. He stated this in an interview with the "Kabar" agency.
Orozaliyev clarified that the cost of a kilowatt-hour in 2026 will be 3 soms and 3 tyiyns.
“The new tariff will be 1 som and 64 tyiyns. Thus, even at the updated prices, the cost will only be partially covered,” he added.
Also, Ularbek Duysho uulu, deputy general director of OJSC "NESK," emphasized that electricity tariffs in Kyrgyzstan remain the lowest among Central Asian countries.
