In 2026, the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise, a branch of OJSC "NESC", plans to implement 54,587 'smart' meters (AMR). This information was announced by the company's press service.
The project implementation is supported by the World Bank. The main goal is to modernize the energy sector, transition to digital management, and improve the efficiency of electricity use.
The metering devices will be distributed across the districts as follows:
Currently, there are 130,668 subscribers registered in the Batken Electric Networks, among which 121,149 are residential consumers, and 9,519 are non-residential.
From 2024 to 2025, 62,085 smart meters were installed in the region. The energy workers completed the full equipping of the AMR in Batken and its district, as well as in Kyzyl-Kiya.
