In response to this statement, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers — Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev noted that this issue is currently under consideration.
“We are exploring the possibility of introducing insurance in this area. I want to emphasize that not all agricultural crops will be able to be included in this process, only the most significant ones,” he explained.
According to him, there are currently private insurance companies, but the mechanism for obtaining compensations has not yet been developed.
Also during the meeting, information was presented by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for spring fieldwork and economic activities in 2026 in the country.
