- At the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on February 11, 2026, deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov stated that farmers are struggling to cover their losses.

He proposed the idea that the government should purchase products from farmers for subsequent sale in large stores across the country.

In the deputy's opinion, the government could buy up all the farmers' harvest and then sell it through these retail chains.

“The government has enough funds, and this is quite feasible,” he noted.

The meeting also discussed information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for spring fieldwork and other economic activities in the country in 2026.
