The First Deputy Prime Minister reminded about agricultural risk insurance
The First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev stated during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh that there are no funds in the republican budget for this year to compensate farmers in the event of natural disasters or low harvests.
This issue was raised by deputy Aisarakan Abdibaeva, who noted that the country has a budget surplus and suggested considering the possibility of allocating funds to assist affected farmers.
In response, Amangeldiev emphasized that in such cases, a state insurance company operates, offering farmers the opportunity to insure their land and crops.
He also pointed out that agriculture is a business, and if the state begins to cover the losses of farmers, it will have to make similar payments for other sectors of the economy.
