Tariff exemption for cocoa butter imports introduced in the EAEU
According to the new decision, an exemption from the import customs duty on cocoa butter under the EAEU commodity code 1804000000 is provided for up to 300 tons per year.
This tariff exemption will be in effect annually, with an extension until April 30, 2027.
The measure aims to support enterprises in the confectionery and food industries of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as to develop domestic production and increase added value within the Union.
To obtain the exemption, it is necessary to have a document issued by the authorized body of the EAEU member state. This document must contain information about the importing organizations and the volumes of cocoa butter permitted for import within the established limit.
The imported cocoa butter is allowed to be used exclusively for processing and the production of finished products within the territory of the respective EAEU member state. The use of the raw material for other purposes is not permitted.
This restriction is aimed at stimulating local production and increasing the competitiveness of products manufactured within the Union.
The decision will contribute to ensuring the food industry with stable supplies of raw materials, increasing production volumes, and expanding the range of quality products in the EAEU market.
