A tariff exemption for the import of cocoa butter has been introduced in the EAEU

The tariff exemption will be implemented on an annual basis, which will support enterprises in the confectionery and food industries of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This measure is aimed at developing domestic production and creating added value within the Union.

To obtain the exemption, it is necessary to present a document issued by the authorized body of the EAEU member country, which will contain information about the importing organizations and the volumes of cocoa butter permitted for import within the established limit.

Imported cocoa butter can only be used for processing and production of finished products in the respective EAEU countries. It is prohibited to use the raw material for other purposes, which is aimed at stimulating local production and increasing the competitiveness of goods produced within the Union.

This decision is expected to provide food industry enterprises with stable access to raw materials, as well as contribute to an increase in production volumes and the expansion of the range of quality products in the EAEU market.
