The Ministry of Energy refused to disclose the price of imported electricity: state secret
Deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova asked about the magnitude of the electricity deficit in the country.
According to Rysbekov, by the end of 2025, the electricity deficit in Kyrgyzstan is expected to reach 3.8 billion kilowatt-hours.
He added that this shortfall is planned to be compensated through the import of electricity.
This year, contracts will be signed to import electricity from neighboring countries to eliminate the deficit, and a program for the implementation of renewable energy sources will also be carried out.
Mavlyanova requested information on the cost of one kilowatt-hour of imported electricity. However, the ministry representative was unable to provide an answer, citing state secrecy. At the same time, Altynbek Rysbekov promised that he would provide the information to the deputy personally.
