Cargo that does not meet the requirements of the EAEU will not be allowed into Kyrgyzstan

- On January 8, 2026, Maksat Kocherov, the Director of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, conducted an unannounced inspection at the phytosanitary control points "Ak-Tilek" and the SVH "Kant," located at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.

During the inspection, instructions were given for the mandatory compliance with phytosanitary standards during the import and export of quarantine products by participants in foreign economic activity.

"In case of violations in the field of plant quarantine, measures such as return, destruction, or disinfection of agricultural plant products are provided," the statement noted.

In addition, a task was set to prevent the entry of goods into the country that do not meet the phytosanitary requirements of the EAEU and may threaten phytosanitary safety.
