Violations Detected at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Border During the Import of 44.2 Tons of Potatoes from Russia

- At the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border, during the import of 44.2 tons of potatoes from Russia, violations of phytosanitary requirements were identified. The press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry made a corresponding statement.

According to the information from the agency, on January 7, 2026, at the "Consolidated Post" near the "Ak-Tilek" checkpoint, an absent phytosanitary certificate for the cargo was discovered, which poses a high phytosanitary risk.

The ministry noted that in accordance with paragraph 3.7 of the Regulation on the procedure for conducting quarantine phytosanitary control in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, this batch of potatoes was returned to the sender.
