Cargoes that do not meet the requirements of the EAEU will not be allowed into the territory of the KR

On January 8, 2026, M. A. Kocherov, head of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine, conducted an inspection at the border crossing points between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Even though the New Year holidays are still ongoing for government officials, an unscheduled inspection of the phytosanitary control operations at the "Ak-Tilek" checkpoint and the temporary storage facility "Kant" was organized.

During the inspection, recommendations were made for strict compliance with existing regulations, as well as increasing control over the import and export of quarantine products. Significant attention was given to the activities of participants in foreign economic activity (FEA).

Based on the results of the inspection, M. A. Kocherov issued the following instructions:

Take immediate action in case of violations: carry out the return, destruction, or treatment of agricultural products.

Cease attempts to import goods that do not comply with the phytosanitary standards of the EAEU.

Ensure complete phytosanitary safety for the country and prevent the entry of harmful organisms into the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
