Urgent: The ruling party of Mongolia has nominated 39-year-old Uchral for the position of Prime Minister

Today, March 29, 2026, the 3rd session of the Small Khural of the Mongolian People's Party continues at the Independence Palace.

At the meeting, chaired by the Secretary-General of the Mongolian People's Party, Sodbaatar Yangug, the candidacy of Uchral Nyam-Osor for the position of Prime Minister of the country was announced. This was reported by MiddleAsianNews.

Uchral Nyam-Osor, who turned 39 this year, was born on January 2, 1987, in Ulaanbaatar. He is the leader of the Mongolian People's Party and received his legal education at Ikh Zasag University, graduating in 2007.

In 2010, he earned a master's degree in business administration and international management from Buckingham University (United Kingdom). Additionally, in 2013, he defended a dissertation on history at the Institute of Mongolian Studies, Tibetan Studies, and Buddhist Studies of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Uchral holds higher education degrees in several fields: law, history, and business administration. He lives with his wife and four children.

It is worth noting that the former Prime Minister of Mongolia, Zandanshatar Gombojav, recently resigned at a closed meeting of the ruling council of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP).

The plenary session of the spring session of the Great State Khural (Parliament) of 2026, held on March 27, approved the Prime Minister's request to be relieved of his duties.
