As reported by MiddleAsianNews, on February 5, 2026, a meeting took place between the Chairman of the Great State Khural (GSK) of Mongolia, Uchral Nyam-Osor, and the Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia, Igawahara Masaru.
Uchral Nyam-Osor, speaking at the meeting, noted that within the framework of the GSK's approved five-year development strategy for Mongolia for 2026-2030, special attention will be paid to the interests of investors and the creation of a favorable investment climate.
In addition, he presented his initiative called "Let's Free Ourselves," aimed at forming a legal environment that ensures equal opportunities for the realization of human rights and freedoms. In this context, Nyam-Osor emphasized that the GSK will promote the reform of the banking sector and improve the legal environment for foreign investors.

Ambassador Igawahara Masaru emphasized his readiness for joint actions to strengthen the "Special Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity," as well as to deepen bilateral relations against the backdrop of a complex international situation.
He also expressed a desire to actively develop visits and cooperation between Mongolia and Japan in 2026, highlighting the importance of inter-parliamentary interaction in his role as Speaker of the GSK.

The ambassador expressed satisfaction with the information about the investment program that was approved within the framework of the "Five-Year Guidelines for the Development of Mongolia for 2026-2030."
Igawahara also emphasized the importance of support from Mongolia in accelerating banking reforms, as well as in the development of technologies such as artificial intelligence and information technology, which in turn will improve the legal conditions for investments.
