“Thus, the internal struggle against corruption within the ranks of the Mongolian People's Party begins,” said Uchral Nyam-Osor, the speaker of the parliament. This was reported by MiddleAsianNews.

During the current conference of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP), the speaker of the parliament Uchral Nyam-Osor presented a report announcing the expulsion of several high-ranking members from the party. Among those expelled were: former speaker of the parliament Amarbayasgalan Dashzevge, former deputy speaker of the parliament Bulgan Tuya Khurelbaatar, as well as former deputy minister of energy Tavinbekh Nansal and party member Amundra Amartuvshin.

Uchral Nyam-Osor noted: “Corruption has become a real cancer in our society, infiltrating all spheres and levels, starting from fire safety requirements for tire fitters. It is destroying Mongolia and undermining the foundations of the People's Party. We cannot postpone the fight against it, and we announce the start of our anti-corruption campaign immediately. In this regard, we find it necessary to expel the following individuals from the ranks of the Mongolian People's Party:
Member of Parliament Amarbayasgalan Dashzevge, against whom the prosecutor's office has brought charges of corruption and abuse of office as the leader of the MPP, as well as former Minister of Energy Tavinbekh Nansal;
Member Bulgan Tuya Khurelbaatar, whose constitutional violation was established by the Constitutional Court;
Amundra Amartuvshin, who, as a former member of the Small Khural, has repeatedly incited society to chaos and slandered the policies and activities of the Mongolian People's Party, violating the ethical norms and discipline of party members.
We officially submit a request to the General Supervisory Committee to suspend the membership of these individuals in accordance with the party's charter. Past merits cannot serve as protection against corruption and ethical responsibility. The right to restore membership in the Mongolian People's Party remains after a court decision on guilt or innocence. We intend to free the People's Party from corruption and restore citizens' trust. The party will be reborn in the hearts of the people, protecting the freedom of every Mongolian, without exception.”
