According to meteorologists, from 8:00 to 20:00 on February 23, 2026, the weather will be predominantly cloudy. Snowfall and blizzards are predicted in the Mongolo-Altai mountain region. In the western part of the country, the wind will blow from the southwest, while in other regions it will come from the northwest, with speeds of 5-10 meters per second, and in some places it may reach 14-16 meters per second.
The air temperature in Lake Uvs and the Darkhad basin, as well as in the valleys of the Tes and Eröö rivers, is expected to range from -20 to -25°C. In the Khangai, Khubsugul, Khentei, and Zavkhan mountains, at the sources of the Zag-Baidrag, Ider, Eg, Uur, Orkhon, Selenge, Kharaa, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, and Ulz rivers, as well as in the valley of the Khalkh and Dornod-Dargan steppe, the temperature will fluctuate between -15 and -20°C. In the southwest of the Gobi region, temperatures are expected to be +1 to +6°C, in the Altai mountains from -3 to +2°C, in the foothills of the Khangai mountains, as well as in the eastern and northern parts of the Gobi region, the temperature will be -3 to -8°C, while in other areas it will be -10 to -15°C.
In Ulaanbaatar, variable cloudiness is also predicted, but no precipitation is expected. The northwest wind will blow at a speed of 4-9 meters per second, and daytime temperatures will range from -14 to -16°C.
