- Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported his participation in a meeting of army commanders from countries in the "coalition of the willing," where security issues concerning Kyiv were discussed.
- The construction of the Rheinmetall ammunition plant in Ukraine is not progressing. According to Defense Express, the project, which was supposed to be completed by the summer of 2026, is now likely to start operations no earlier than 2027.
- On the night of January 18, Russian troops struck Kharkiv and its region using aerial bombs, missiles, and drones. As a result of the attack on a residential building in Kharkiv, a 20-year-old woman was killed. Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa regions were also targeted. Emergency power outages were implemented in Kyiv on January 18.

In the village of Holovchino, a drone attacked a car in a parking lot, resulting in one person being injured.
- On the night of January 18, Ukrainian drones attacked North Ossetia. In Beslan, debris from one of the downed drones fell on the roof of a five-story building, injuring three people, including two children.
