In the last 24 hours, international news agencies have reported on events occurring in Ukraine, as well as on the global stage amid ongoing military actions. Here are the key points.

  • According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 55 Ukrainian drones were shot down on Monday evening: 31 over the Bryansk region, 11 over Rostov, three over Belgorod, and two each in the Volgograd and Ryazan regions, with one drone approaching Moscow.
  • Major General Yevgeny Khmara, formerly head of the Special Operations Center "A" of the SBU, has been appointed acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Vasyl Maliuk will leave his position as head of the SBU but will continue to work on preparing "asymmetric operations" against Russia within the service.
  • As a result of attacks by Russian troops on Monday, four people were injured in several areas of the Dnipropetrovsk region, including a 9-year-old girl, as reported by the head of the regional state administration, Vladislav Haivanenko.
  • On Tuesday, U.S. President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, will participate in the "coalition of the willing" summit in Paris. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is also expected to attend the meeting.
  • A 24-year-old woman suspected of blowing up a vehicle belonging to a Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier was detained in Kyiv. It took only a few hours to capture her.
