Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov called Central Asia "ours"
The TV host emphasized the need for a clear definition of Russia's goals in this direction.
In the program "Solovyov Live," he shared the opinion that instead of focusing on countries like Syria and Venezuela, Russia should concentrate on matters in the near abroad.
“The situation in Armenia is much more painful for us than what is happening in Venezuela. The loss of Armenia is indeed a huge problem. Issues in our Asia, particularly in Central Asia, could pose a serious challenge for us,” Solovyov noted.
He emphasizes that Russia needs to clearly outline its goals and objectives, as well as clearly state that “the games are over.”
“We should not pay attention to international norms and order. If it was necessary for our national security to start a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, then why not take similar actions in other regions of our influence?” the TV host expressed his opinion.
According to him, it would be advisable to develop a “national doctrine” that clearly defines the sphere of influence of Russia.
