
Aftandil Talaibek uulu, a wrestler from Kyrgyzstan in Greco-Roman style, became the winner of the Asian Championship taking place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. He excelled in the weight category up to 63 kg, where he secured a confident victory over a Japanese athlete in his first match. In the semifinals, Aftandil also showcased his skills by defeating a wrestler from Turkmenistan.
In the final match, he faced a representative from Iran. From the first seconds of the bout, the Kyrgyzstani took the initiative and confidently controlled the course of the match, finishing it with a score of 7:2 in his favor.
Thus, Aftandil Talaibek uulu became the champion of Asia, securing the first gold medal for the Kyrgyzstan team at this tournament.
