At the Asian Championship taking place in Bishkek, Kyrgyz wrestler Roman Kim was unable to advance to the semifinals.

On April 6, Roman participated in the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament in the weight category up to 130 kg.

In his first match, he secured a confident victory over an athlete from Mongolia with a score of 9:0. However, in the quarterfinals, he was unable to overcome the barrier — he lost to an Iranian wrestler, who is the world and Asian champion, as well as an Olympic medalist, with the same score of 9:0.

If the Iranian reaches the finals, Kim will have a chance to compete for the bronze medal.

Nevertheless, four other wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan successfully advanced to the semifinals.
