At the Asian Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship taking place in Bishkek, three representatives of Kyrgyzstan - Aftandil Talaybek uulu, Akjol Makhmudov, and Asan Janishov - have reached the finals. This is reported by the UWW website.

Unfortunately, another wrestler from Kyrgyzstan, Ulan Muratbek uulu, could not advance to the finals, losing in the semifinals. He will now compete for the bronze medal.

Aftandil Talaybek uulu (category up to 63 kg) will face Erfan Jarkani, while Akjol Makhmudov (up to 77 kg) will battle Ali Zabikholla Osku. Asan Janishov will confront Golamreza Farokhisenjani, who also represents Iran.

Roman Kim started the competition with a victory but lost in the quarterfinals to an Iranian athlete who made it to the finals. However, the Kyrgyzstani still has a chance to compete for bronze.
