During the meeting, they discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation in the field of motorboating and organizing UIM competitions in Kyrgyzstan.
The President emphasized that the UIM's readiness to hold the world championship in the country is an important step, especially in light of Kyrgyzstan's active development in the area of international sports cooperation, tourism, and the organization of major events.
Japarov also noted the presence of two international airports in the Issyk-Kul region — in Karakol and Tamchy, which welcome tourists. Additionally, the construction of several high-category hotels along the lake's shore is ongoing.
Raffaele Chiulli added that the World Cup is a grand event in the world of motorboating, which includes the championship for royal boat racing in the F1H2O class, as well as demonstration races in jet skiing, motor surfing, and hydrofoiling performances.
He also mentioned that previous competitions have taken place in countries such as China, the UAE, Qatar, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam, noting that water racing is one of the most spectacular sports on the planet, with broadcasts in over 86 countries and an audience of more than 900 million viewers.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed confidence that holding the UIM F1H2O World Cup, which will take place for the first time in Central Asia, will help showcase the tourism potential of Issyk-Kul and serve as an effective tool for promoting the national brand on the global stage.
