Dmitry Bivol Still Intends to Have a Third Fight with Beterbiev
After the mandatory IBF title defense against German Michael Eifert, Bivol intends to have a third fight with Artur Beterbiev.
His plans also include a rematch with Saul Alvarez, a bout with David Benavidez, and a pursuit of the title in the cruiserweight division.
The fight between Bivol and Eifert will take place on May 23 at the pyramid complex in Giza. This event will be part of a boxing evening, the main fight of which will feature Oleksandr Usyk against Rico Verhoeven.
In his last fight on February 23, 2025, in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Dmitry faced Artur Beterbiev. It was a rematch that lasted all 12 rounds and ended with Bivol winning by a majority decision (114-114, 116-112, 115-113), after which he became the undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight division.
After that, Bivol announced the start of rehabilitation following surgery due to a flare-up of an old back injury.
