Dmitry Bivol Plans Fights with Beterbiev and Alvarez
The manager of world champion Vadim Kornilov announced the names of possible opponents for Bivol after his upcoming fight.
On May 23, the Russian boxer will face Michael Eifert.
“After this fight, we can discuss matchups with Beterbiev, David Benavidez, as well as a possible bout with Canelo Alvarez or one of the champions in the cruiserweight category,” Kornilov said in an interview with TASS.
Bivol has 24 wins and 1 loss.
Interestingly, Dmitry's next fight could take place against the backdrop of the famous Egyptian pyramids.
According to insider Dan Rafael, Bivol's team has notified the IBF of an agreement reached with Eifert's representatives.
The parties plan to hold a title fight for the IBF belt on May 23 in Giza (Egypt) as part of a boxing evening, which will also feature a bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Rico Verhoeven.
The 35-year-old Bivol (24-1) has not stepped into the ring since February 2025, when he won against Artur Beterbiev and became the undisputed world champion. Meanwhile, 28-year-old Eifert (13-1) has been waiting for the opportunity to fight for the IBF belt since 2023.
The record of Dmitry Bivol targeting fights with Beterbiev and Alvarez appeared on the K-News website.
