
Wrestler from Kyrgyzstan Ernazar Akmataliev has achieved impressive success, taking second place in the recently updated world ranking of United World Wrestling (UWW).
This ranking was updated after the tournament held in Albania.
At this competition, Akmataliev competed in the weight category up to 70 kilograms and won a gold medal, which allowed him to rise from third to second place, trailing only behind Olympic champion Yesisosuke Aoyagi from Japan.
Another Kyrgyz wrestler, Akjol Mahmudov, took 31st place in the world ranking. At the tournament in Tirana (Albania), he competed in the weight category up to 82 kilograms and finished in 10th position among 19 participants.
Additionally, Zholaman Sharshenbekov was removed from the UWW world ranking.
