Asian Championship: Muhammad Ali Matkarimov took 14th place

At the Asian Cycling Championship taking place in Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstani athlete Mukhammed Ali Matkarimov finished in 14th place.

The competitions started on February 6, during which three sets of medals are contested for men and women.

In the 24.6 km race for athletes under 23 years old, there were 17 participants. Mukhammed Ali started with number nine and completed the distance in 34 minutes and 39 seconds, achieving an average speed of 41.5 km/h. He finished 5 minutes and 36 seconds behind the winner, Kazakhstan's Mansur Beisenbay.

Also on this day, Artem Shapilov will compete in the individual race over 31 km among adults.

Earlier in the tournament, Sofia Babunova secured 7th place in the 15.8 km race among juniors, while Kirill Safronov finished 11th in the individual race over 20 km among juniors on the first day of the competitions.
