Kyrgyzstan Athletes Won Medals at the Ivan Yarygin Cup

At the international women's wrestling tournament — the Ivan Yarygin Cup, which took place in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, from January 29 to February 1, Kyrgyz athletes Dilnaz Sazanova and Nurzat Nurtayeva won medals.

According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, Dilnaz Sazanova became the silver medalist in the weight category up to 62 kg. During the tournament, she achieved victories over Akylai Chynybayeva (Kyrgyzstan) and Russian athletes Anastasia Sidelnikova and Ekaterina Oleinikova, which allowed her to reach the finals.

In the decisive match for gold, Sazanova faced Ok Ju Kim from North Korea, a silver medalist at the 2025 Asian and World Championships, but unfortunately lost with a score of 2:12, finishing the tournament in second place.

Nurzat Nurtayeva also contributed to the team's success by winning a bronze medal in the weight category up to 72 kg. In the match for third place, she confidently defeated the 2025 European champion among athletes under 23 years old — Russian Kristina Bratchikova, winning with a score of 6:0.
