The competition began on January 31, and Dilnaz competed in the weight category up to 62 kg, where 16 wrestlers participated.
In the first round (1/8 finals), Dilnaz achieved victory over her compatriot Akylai Chynybayeva, and then won against Russian athlete Anastasia Sidelnikova. Advancing to the semifinals, she faced Ekaterina Oleinikova from Russia and also emerged victorious.
However, in the final, Sazanova battled against a representative from North Korea and suffered defeat.
As a result, in the final protocol of her weight category, she took second place, winning a silver medal.
