Competing in the category up to 62 kilograms, where 16 athletes participated, Sazanova began her journey from the 1/8 finals. At this stage, she won against Akylai Chynybayeva, her compatriot, and then defeated Russian athlete Anastasia Sidelnikova in the quarterfinals. In the final match, she also faced another representative from Russia, Ekaterina Oleinikova, and emerged victorious.
Now Dilnaz is preparing for the decisive match for the gold medal against an opponent from North Korea.
