The Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, attended the ceremony.
The major renovation of the college began in the summer of 2025 and was completed in December of the same year.
During his visit, Kazybek Moldazhiyev got acquainted with the new facilities, including training and sports halls, medical offices, and event spaces.
The sports college is located on an area of 7.6 hectares, which includes an academic building, a cafeteria, two sports complexes, an indoor swimming pool, wrestling halls, a gymnastics hall, two football fields, and two dormitories.
Training is conducted for athletes in disciplines such as Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, women's wrestling, boxing, weightlifting, athletics, judo, and football.
The educational institution was founded in 1971 as the Republican General Education Sports Boarding School named after N. Krupskaya (ROSHISP) based on a children's home.
In 2000, the college was named after the outstanding athlete Sheraly Sydykov.
