“All our planned goals for the tournament were achieved, and I am sincerely grateful to the guys. They have great potential, and if they believe in themselves, huge prospects are ahead of them. Everything depends on them,” noted Lacerda. He also added that during his nearly year-long stay in Kyrgyzstan, he regularly attends matches of the local championship and notices a significant increase in interest in football in the country.
The coach urged fans to be patient: “I remember when I arrived in Ukraine from Brazil in 2002, there was also a period of development. Ukraine gradually progressed, and here we must be ready for the fact that everything does not happen instantly,” he added.
Lacerda also pointed out that many factors can create difficulties, but it is important to maintain a realistic view of the situation and think about the future.
It is worth noting that in the previous matches, our team lost to Saudi Arabia and Vietnam, but if they win in the last round, they will still have a chance to advance to the playoffs.
The Asian Cup is taking place in Saudi Arabia, with 16 teams divided into four groups. The two best teams from each group advance to the playoffs.
