Edmar Lacerda: These Players Have Great Opportunities Ahead

The head coach of the Kyrgyzstan national football team for players under 23, Edmar Lacerda, made a statement following the game against the Jordanian team.

The match, part of the third round of the group stage of the Asian Cup, took place on January 12 and ended with a narrow victory for the Jordanians with a score of 1:0.

“Our pre-tournament plans were successfully implemented, for which I express my immense gratitude to the team — they truly have great potential. If they start believing in themselves, great prospects await them. Everything depends only on them,” Lacerda noted.

“I have spent almost a year in Kyrgyzstan and often attend matches, following the development of the championship. There is a real football boom in the country right now. My message to the fans: give the team a little time. We should not expect instant results. There are many reasons for the difficulties, but it is important to look at things soberly and think about the future,” he added at the post-match press conference.
