Edmar Lacerda, the head coach of the Kyrgyzstan Olympic football team, commented on the results of the match against Vietnam, which took place on January 9 as part of the Asian Cup.

“As a coach, I primarily analyze the reasons for the failure in my actions. Each player should also ask themselves what could have been done better. Everyone tried and aimed for victory, but we needed only a win. Two consecutive losses are not the result we expected. We qualified at a different level, but here we could not demonstrate the required qualities,” noted Lacerda.

He emphasized the importance of continuing to play.

“This is the national team of Kyrgyzstan, and we must approach the last match as if it were the final. We represent our country, and the players are well aware of this,” added the coach.

It is worth noting that Kyrgyzstan's next match will take place on January 12 against Jordan. The tournament is being held in Saudi Arabia, with 16 teams divided into four groups. Based on the results of the group stage, the two best teams will be able to advance to the playoffs.
