Kyrgyz Football Union Expands Cooperation with Saudi Arabia

On January 6, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Jeddah between the Football Union of Kyrgyzstan and the Football Federation of Saudi Arabia, as reported by the KFS.

The document was signed by the president of the KFS, Kamchybek Tashiev, and his Saudi counterpart, Yaser Al-Misehal.


The goal of this agreement is to develop football in Kyrgyzstan, implement international standards, and enhance the competitiveness of the national teams. Plans for 2026-2027 include organizing friendly matches between women's and youth teams of the two countries.

The parties also agreed on cooperation in the exchange of sports information, improving football management, developing refereeing, training coaches and technical progress, as well as organizing various sports events.

It is worth noting that Kamchybek Tashiev is currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he is observing the U-23 Asian Cup matches taking place in Jeddah.
