Asian Cup (U-23): Kyrgyzstan lost to Saudi Arabia, playing with one less player for about an hour

The youth football team of Kyrgyzstan (U-23) was unable to start its performance at the Asian Cup, taking place in Saudi Arabia, successfully.

On January 6, a match of the first round of the group stage took place in Jeddah, where the Kyrgyz team faced the team of Saudi Arabia.

The first half went by without significant dangerous moments; however, in the 34th minute, referee Fu Ming from China, after consulting VAR, decided to issue a red card to Arsen Sharshenbekov.

In the second half, the Kyrgyz team showed confident defense, but in the 88th minute, the referee awarded a penalty for a handball in the penalty area, but goalkeeper Kurmanbek Nurlanbekov successfully saved the opponent's shot.

Despite defensive efforts, the Kyrgyz national team could not keep the goal intact until the end of the match and conceded a goal right at the end.

As a result, the game ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the Saudi Arabian team.

In the next match, which will take place on January 9, the Kyrgyz team will face the Vietnam national team, which won its first match against Jordan with a score of 2:0.
