In Saudi Arabia, the final stage of the Asian Cup for under-23 youth teams has started, during which the Kyrgyzstan national team faced the local team — Saudi Arabia. The match took place at the Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.
The Kyrgyzstan team is in Group "A" along with the teams from Vietnam, Jordan, and the tournament hosts — Saudi Arabia.
According to reports, the match was played in a tense atmosphere. In the 34th minute, referee Arsen Shershenbekov issued a red card, forcing the Kyrgyzstan national team to continue the game with one player less. The first half ended in a scoreless draw — 0:0.
“In the 77th minute, the main referee awarded a penalty against the Kyrgyzstan national team, but Kurmanbek Nurlanbekov successfully saved the shot. Unfortunately, in the 88th minute, the opponent managed to execute a successful attack and opened the scoring — 1:0. Despite the efforts of the Kyrgyz players to equalize, the match ended without changes,” the source reports.
Thus, the match concluded with a victory for the Saudi Arabia national team with a score of 1:0.
