In the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region, nine individuals who were previously members of the banned extremist group "Yakin-Inkar" have decided to leave its ranks. This information was provided by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

According to the agency's information, on March 27, preventive measures were conducted with the participation of official representatives of the Muslim clergy. Participants were explained that religious disagreements are unacceptable, emphasizing the importance of public consensus and adherence to traditional Islam based on the Hanafi school of thought and the Matruidi doctrine.

As a result of discussions with former group members, they acknowledged their beliefs as erroneous, expressed regret, and confirmed their intention to follow the legislation of Kyrgyzstan, the decisions of the Council of Ulema, and the requirements of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK). They also urged other supporters to abandon the ideas promoted by "Yakin-Inkar".
It should be noted that this organization has been banned in the country since 2017.
The GKNB added that work continues to monitor compliance with the Law on "Freedom of Religion and Religious Organizations". Citizens were reminded of the potential criminal liability for illegal missionary activities.
