On March 24, 2026, an explanatory event aimed at the prevention and warning of religious extremism and non-traditional religious movements was held in the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).

As a result of these preventive actions, 27 individuals who had previously actively supported the ideology of the radical movement "Yakin-Inkar" publicly renounced their extremist beliefs. These citizens had been noted for promoting the ideology banned in the country, stated the SCNS.

“These citizens realized the error of their choice in the religious sphere, understood the harmfulness of their former beliefs, and expressed regret. They also confirmed their readiness to comply with the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, adhere to the decisions of the Council of Ulema, and the requirements of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, urging other citizens not to succumb to illegal proposals from members of the extremist movement 'Yakin-Inkar',” the SCNS added.

Currently, the SCNS continues its fight against the criminal activities of "Yakin-Inkar" and implements preventive measures to prevent the involvement of new followers in these extremist organizations and movements.

The State Committee also warned citizens about the possible criminal liability for participating in the activities of extremist and terrorist organizations banned in Kyrgyzstan.
