In Bishkek, on March 22, 2026, in the afternoon, the opening of the southern part of the bridge located on Jibek Jolu Avenue will take place.
According to information provided by the city administration, before the reconstruction, the width of the bridge was only 9 meters, which created significant difficulties for traffic flow. During the renovation, the bridge was expanded, and its dimensions now meet modern standards: the width is 34.3 meters and the length is 25 meters.
The project includes a complete overhaul of the bridge, an increase in the number of traffic lanes, as well as the creation of convenient sidewalks for pedestrians.
