The festive Eid prayer took place in Osh, held in 75 mosques across the city. This was reported by the city administration.
At the central mosque "Al-Bukhari," the prayer was attended by Mayor Janarbek Akayev and Chairman of the City Council Bolot Bayetov. They congratulated all those present on the holiday and wished them happiness and well-being.
The mayor emphasized that Eid al-Fitr embodies important values such as mercy, generosity, and kindness, and calls for patience and mutual assistance. He expressed hope that the holiday would bring joy to every family and that peace and stability would prevail in the city and the country.
On the same day, a ceremony was held to lay the foundation for a new mosque on the site of the existing "Al-Bukhari" (Alai), which will meet modern standards. As part of the event, a sacrificial ritual was conducted, and a blessing was given to commence construction.
According to the city administration, the festive events in the city were held peacefully and in an organized manner.
