In Bishkek, cottages were built right next to the water intake: the mayor ordered their demolition
According to the press service of the mayor's office, the mayor instructed to conduct a detailed check on the legality of the structures located near the water intake, develop their support plans, and activate work on the creation of a replenishing lake.
Junushaliev also noted that this water intake provides drinking water to 40% of the capital's population.
“It is necessary to have a protective zone behind the water intake, and there is a road passing through here. How will the protective zone be ensured? This is a strategically important facility. We need to check the legality of each building, up to the possibility of their demolition,” he emphasized to his subordinates.
