







During the inspection of the 'Orto-Alysh' water intake, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aybek Junushaliev, emphasized the ongoing work on cleaning the recharge lakes and their filling. This information was provided by the press service of the capital's mayoralty.
According to the mayor, about 40% of the capital's population receives drinking water from this water intake facility. He highlighted the importance of improving the efficiency of operations to ensure stable water supply during the summer period.
Additionally, as part of the preparations for the creation of the 12th recharge lake, which will help maintain the stability of the groundwater table for drinking water supply, necessary works are being carried out. Their completion is planned by the end of this year.
Following his visit, the mayor instructed to check the legality of the objects located near the water intake and to prepare supporting plans for them. The importance of creating the 12th recharge lake was also noted. It should be emphasized that the area of the water intake is a strategically important site.
