The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, conducted a working tour of key infrastructure facilities in the capital together with the heads of city services. This was reported by the press service of the city hall.
The first site inspected was the area at the intersection of Young Guard Boulevard and Leo Tolstoy Street, where the construction of a new transport interchange is planned.
The mayor instructed the relevant services to begin preparatory work and remove all obstacles to start construction.

Next, the mayor inspected the road construction on Bakayev Street and the construction of a new five-story Young Technicians Station, which will include laboratories, an observatory, a museum, classrooms, and a library. The opening of this facility is expected to take place on June 1, 2026.
During the inspection, the construction of an additional building for kindergarten No. 131 was also checked, where the mayor suggested considering the possibility of building a three-story building instead of the planned two-story one for the greater convenience of the children.

The final stop of the tour was the "Orto-Alysh" water intake, which provides drinking water to 40% of Bishkek's population. Currently, work is being carried out at the water intake to clean the recharge lakes, and there are plans to construct a 12th recharge lake to ensure stable water supply to the city.
As a result of the visit, the mayor ordered a check on the legality of the facilities located near the water intake and to intensify work on the development of a new recharge lake, emphasizing the strategic importance of this area.
