In the Issyk-Kul region, specifically in the Abdrakhmanov rural municipality and the city administration of Cholpon-Ata, cases of illegal transfer of land into private hands have been discovered. According to information provided by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office, from 1997 to 2004, the following plots were transferred in violation of the law:
- a land plot of 0.08 hectares belonging to the city administration of Cholpon-Ata,
- a municipal bus station building with an area of 139.4 square meters located in the Ananyev rural district,
- a land plot of 0.16 hectares,
- a land plot of 4.0 hectares intended for agricultural purposes, which was previously transferred to the public fund "SOS Children's Village Cholpon-Ata."
