During a check of compliance with land legislation conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Issyk-Kul region, facts of illegal transfer of land plots into private hands were revealed. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office, specifying that violations took place in the Abdrakhmanov rural administration and the city hall of Cholpon-Ata.

As a result of the investigation, it was established that from 1997 to 2004, a number of properties were transferred by officials to private individuals in violation of the law. In particular, the following plots are mentioned:

As a result of the conducted work, the state was able to reclaim land plots with a total area of 4.26 hectares. The value of the recovered property is estimated at 167 million 568 thousand soms.
